1.4.43 Release & Product Update
So today, we pushed our latest release 1.4.43, to the respective app stores. They will go live once Apple and Google review them. See below for release notes.
What have we been up to?
Behind the scenes, we have been talking to customers and potential customers about what they would like to see in the app. Most people agree it must be simple to enter and recall data, and generally speaking, farmers don’t have time to test software. It makes sense, farms run lean with several people wearing multiple hats.
Some key features coming next are likely to be
Validated input of Make and Models - If we have validation (Instead of free text fields), we can start to add suggestions about a particular machine. For example, if you own a John Deere 8300 we can suggest the service checklist and the parts required at regular intervals. This “Good data input” will enable other features like;
Adding a list of parts a machine typically consumes - Things like Fuel, Oil and Air filters are regularly replaced, so we want to add somewhere for this information to live. We are currently drawing mockups and working with our developer to see how this can be integrated.
Adding Service Checklists - Ensuring a consistent service for a wide variety of machines can be challenging, so we want to add sample checklists for you to modify based on our knowledge of machine types. For example, if you have a John Deere Cotton Picker we will provide a suggested service list that you can modify to suit your needs or unique machine modifications.
The benefit of global knowledge community - As AgOps grows and more machines are entered more parts can be suggested. New farmers, or owners of new machinery will benefit from the maintenance programs of others.
